Night out essentials | stylenua

I love a good night out, having a good time with my friends, dancing and having a few drinks too. Being a student, I have experienced my share of nights out (with many more to come) and since it's almost time to return to college, I thought I would share my night out essentials with you.

The first thing I like to have on a night out is a comfortable but glam outfit. This Topshop embellished top is perfect. It goes well with a high-waisted skirt or even a pair of jeans depending on where I’m going. It also means I don’t have to wear a necklace and I still look as if I have dressed up for the occasion.

The next thing I consider important is comfortable shoes. This doesn’t necessarily mean flat shoes; some of the most comfortable shoes I have worn have been heels, it just depends what shoes they are. I find that once my ankles are supported and there is a platform on the shoe, my feet aren’t suffering. Shoes like these from New Look are perfect for that, and they work with a dress or with trousers.

The next thing is a dark lipstick or lip gloss. I personally love dark lip colours for nights out, I think they add an extra something to my look and usually suit my outfit. For this I have the NYX intense butter gloss in Rocky Road. This is a nice lightweight gloss but with a dark lip liner underneath it stays for a long time and makes for a nice vampy look.

I also like to have a good perfume on a night out. My favourite and current scent is Ari by Ariana Grande and this 30ml bottle is handy to bring along if I have a big enough clutch. It isn’t a heavy scent which I like but it lingers nicely.

Finally, I use this MUA pro-base mattifying fixing mist to set my makeup for the evening. This setting spray is great for how inexpensive it is (I think I paid £5 for it in Superdrug) and I don’t feel as if my makeup is finished without it.

That is my night out essentials, I hope you enjoyed this post and be sure to let me know what you can’t live without on a night out!

Much love,

Jessica. xo
